Shopping, shopping, and more shopping!

Tuesday we went shopping with Aunt 'T' and our friends Melody and Faith.

The Hemmer girls needed to get some stuff at Sam's for an upcoming home school convention, so we decided to make it a 'girls day'. On the way up we played 'Scum'. We had so many cards it was hard to hold all of them!
Here was our first stop!
Faith had fun trying to get a shirt down from the top rack. She was trying to use this (what so you call them) to get the shirt down and she didn't have much luck!

These next pictures are kind of embarrassing! So I will only show a couple...

We decided that it would be fun to try on a bunch of clothes that didn't match... As you can see we did a good job at not matching. But we had allot of fun laughing at ourselves!

Here we are at Chery Valley Mall. When we got there we were on the top floor and we rode the elevator down to the bottom floor to go eat lunch. I think Mom and 'T' were laughing because we took the elevator to go down only one floor!

For lunch the majority of us decided to have Japanese food, we had Chicken Teryaki. :)
Who wants to walk up stairs if you can ride?
Story time in the book store!
In the mall they had this giant stuffed bear sitting there.
We thought that it was great for pictures!
Like our new sunglasses?
I told Melody that I would wear this shirt for her. When we were at that store they had one in my size but not hers. :(
We finished shopping at Sam's.
It was allot of fun buying all of that 'fun' food!
To finish off the day we went to Cold Stone Creamery for ice cream! It was really good! :)
Thanks everyone for going and making the day so fun!

Memorial Day weekend

Here is how we celebrated Memorial Day weekend.
Sunday night (after recital) we played bean bags with Aunt Amy, Uncle Ron, and Jared.
(Well I didn't. I took pictures :)
Monday morning we went to the Nelson Cemetery for the Memorial Day service.
I always enjoy seeing how everyone goes and proudly shows their patriotism.
I didn't know who's stone this was but I always think it looks neat having the flags at the Vet's stones.
Last year I took a picture of Rachel standing between two trees. Sounds strange I know but it looked really cool! Well this year when I was going to take a similar picture for the blog the tree was cut down! So she tried to squeeze through these two that were allot closer!
Here is the tree we used last year. Notice the stump?
Cameron had fun following us around and posing too!
This one was Cameron's idea. But it turned out really funny!

During the service Dad thanked all of those present who had served in our Armed Forces but went on to honor those who had given 'The last full measure of Devotion'.
Many who had served and were present wore shirts that showed their pride for our country.
They have a sense of pride I don't think we can quite grasp having not been in their place.
Dad ended with a word of prayer and a moment of silence...
And Rachel finished it by playing Taps by the flag.
After the service we went to lunch with Aunt Pam and Uncle Jim, and Aunt T and Uncle Joe.
It seems like the Twins never mind posing for camera!
For lunch Cameron got Dinosaur chicken nuggets. They were really cute!
When we got home Taffie got her winter fur brushed away.
(Sorry had to put a picture of our cute dog on here :)

Piano Recital

This past Sunday the 'Twins' and I played in our piano teacher's recital.

She has over 50 students! So this year she had two recitals instead of one. Our teacher really liked the pieces that we picked so we were in both of the recitals.

After the Recitals there were receptions.

Here is my Mom and Grandma Ev. It was so nice to have Grandma Ev and Grandpa Dave come this year!

I have more pictures from receptions but those pictures aren't that flattering because everyone is either eating or talking!

Some of her students got a puppy the day before and were proudly showing it off. It was so adorable and really soft!

In between the two recitals we had to do some touch ups on our hair...

Jason and Zoe helped pass out programs for the second recital. Zoe was nice and cheerful because she had just gotten there, and Jason said he had already sat through one recital and wasn't quit as happy as Zoe to sit through another one!

I have found that it is really hard to get good pictures during recital because of the lighting in the church. I still wanted some pictures while we were dressed up so some of us girls went outside after it everything was done.

We got kind of silly taking pictures!

This picture is Becky's favorite!

I still wanted some pictures of us at the piano!
Mom and I really liked this one, but it is really weird seeing me in most of these pictures!
