Official-Lee

Last Friday our family was able to go and share in the Lee family's joy of adopting their son Kaleb.
Our timing was perfect! We arrived at the court house at the same time as the Lees!

The poor boy to be celebrated was really tired that day!

Before going into the court house we all had to go through a medal detector and all of our bags were scanned. We thought it was kind of cool except for the fact that the Twins and I had to de-belt before we we went through! (We had too much medal in them!)

The court room itself was rather small but we all managed to fit!

After going through many formalities, and questions with the word from the judge it was made official he will now be known as Kaleb Lee! And there weren't that many dry eyes left in the room!
Before the adoption we were told not to take any pictures once the judge came in the room but after everything was taken care of we were given permission to take pictures again. My trigger finger felt happy again! :)
Waiting for paper work...
Dawn, Kaleb, and Noel (his case worker).
Afterwards we all went outside and celebrated! We didn't care if it was cold!

Lauren, and Wolfgang.

The Happy Adoption Dance!
To celebrate this happy day together we all went back to the Lee's house for brunch!
This was Christian's favorite part of the day!
Me and Jess.
Can you believe how closely our shirts matched? We didn't even plan to do that!
(Notice the cool balloons in the background? Jess and Jamie brought those for Kaleb.)
Jamie, and Jess. Aren't they just the cutest???
Kaleb received a puzzle gift from Lauren and Wolfgang. I was a box that required sliding and pulling to discover the candy, and money inside. He had a little help from his Mom but once the contents were revealed his reaction was so adorable!
You couldn't have wiped that smile off of his face even if you wanted to!
He also received a gift from Mark and Sue, that also had candy. He was so happy! The first thing he did, when he saw how much there was inside, was begin to share it with all of his siblings!
After we ate Jess shared with us a photo montage of Kaleb. Gab and Rach grabbed some toilet paper for Dawn to blow her nose on but I think before it over we all wanted some of it!
As the afternoon passed on it started to snow giant fluffy flakes so Isaac and I went outside to enjoy them!
I looked really pretty but we were all glad that it didn't stick! It is just too early!
Say: Ahhh!
We learned how to play a new card game that afternoon! It was called Quiddler. Each card has a letter on it and a certain amount of points. The object of the game is to spell words with you letters and receive the highest score.Ummm....
Jamie needed a lot of help!
Summit (Jordan's new puppy) is just growing cuter every time I see her!

All this celebration makes me 'dog tired'!

Dad's work picnic.

Last Saturday the cement plant had a picnic that all of the workers and their families were invited to.
Mom was gone but we three joined him!
We got to meet many of the guys that Dad works with and finally put some faces to the names he had told us about in his stories.
We also ended up meeting another family who homeshcools! Their daughters are over ten years younger than me but they were really cute and highly intelligent!
I forget who this guy was. :S But he was showing us his cool car! A Pontiac G6! (I think;) This car got some attention from all of the guys who saw it!
Dad and the Plant Manager, Mark Hill. (No not the guy from Casting Crowns! That is Mark Hall)
Why these stairs were just sitting in the middle of no where I don't know but they made a cool background for some pictures!
The Twins.
A normal Twin pic!
Rachel decided she needed a pic with our Dad. She couldn't remember the last time she had had one with just him.
And Becky and I decided that that was a good idea!

Going to work picnics is never very fun... But hey we got to spend the afternoon with our Dad! ;)

Good times with old friends!

On Monday we got to go meet up with our dear friends that Happs!
Mrs. Happ and Mom
I love how you can just go and meet up with close friends and start up a conversation like you had just seen them the day before! Okay actually we had seen them at their church service the night before but prier to that it had been year! The reason we hadn't seen them in so long was because they are missionaries to Costa Rica!
Beck, Rach, Crystal, and Linsay.

We met at Jay's a 50s diner.
As you can imagine there was a lot of catching up to do after a whole year of not seeing someone so we did a lot of talking! After a while we girls decided to get up and take some pictures and they turned out really fun!
The Laurel and Hardy look.
The Three Stooges look. (Their pictures are on the back wall.)
The Charlie Chaplain look.
Stick 'em up!
While our moms sat and talked and talked and talked. We also talked but went on a walk to the river. We couldn't waste the gorgeous weather! All of the fall colors looked so beautiful next to the river!
When we got to the river one by one the girls said .I can't resist sitting on that log'.
The Twins and Lidsay are almost the same age and Lindsay's older sister is around my age. So as all of us girls have grown up we have felt like sisters!
Lindsay also enjoys photography and a couple times she stole my camera because she thought I needed to be in a picture too!

Great find!
We have a friend who is looking for a new truck to push his plow. What about this? It is even a Chevy!!!
After spending time at the River we walked to a near by mall.
The mall used to be an old piano factory and now it has a bakery, salon, craft store, and some little antique shops!
I hate Goodbyes! :(
Hey guys thanks for such a fun day! We love you!

Brute Strength

Today we were at the Hemmer's house and Jason needed to move his car.
The poor car is sick and needs to go to the Dr. but it had to be taken on a trailer. But the only way to move the car was to push it. (Something about the oil being drained out of the car and he didn't want to burn up the engine by starting it.)
So thankfully we were there to help. Well my sisters. There wasn't room for me so I took pictures.
No Jason the car is supposed to be pushed in the trailer not out of the trailer!
Slave driver. (cracking the whip)
Making all of the girls do the work. Even their neighbor lady!
They didn't have any problems pushing the car until they had to go up the ramp into the trailer, then it got a little heavy!
Good work everyone!

It is amazing the things that you can to do to make memories!
