Friends from Germany

On Saturday evening we went to meet the Kotzem family (from Germany) who are visiting our friends Lauren and Wolfgang.

The Kotzems: Frank, Ines, Elias, Joschi, Antonia, and Lena.

Antonia doing a fashion show.

Lenna doing the same.
Lauren had taught the Kotzems how to play Zoo (a pantomime rhythm game) a few days before and was quite fun to have a game we could all play!

Everyone was really good at playing except for my Dad and Wolfgang. Neither of them had played before and my Dad doesn't have very good rhythm.

Mourey, Frank, and Elias.

You can do it Wolfgang!

Lauren, Yoschi, and Antonia.

Mom is still trying to figure out the game!
Lenna and Ines.
We played few rounds just for fun and then we tried elimination. Want to guess who one? Me!

thePool

A few weeks a go Aunt T and Uncle Joe bought a pool!
Here are some pictures of it going up.

This is the second load of sand that our friend Jason brought.

'Sand Man'. That is what my cousins Jess and Jen called him!

I forgot to get pictures the first load of sand but when it came it was a really hot day and I didn't feel like getting my camera. But it was really fun seeing my different family members all working together.

We don't normally have that much sand just laying around so the Twins were playing with it before we spread it out.

Work in progress.

Sorry no pictures of Rach and I looking cute with our shovels. That is what happens when the camera girl has work to do!

While working on this I decided that I must not do enough physical labor because I got a blister on my hand after shoveling and raking for only a half and hour! Next time I'll wear gloves!
We were gone when the pool got laid out but I heard it was quite the job!
Water!
Waiting for it to fill up...

Finally filled with water!

After this there was a pump that needed to run over 48 hr.s and the chemicals had to be adjusted just right.
Finally time to swim!
Thanks Aunt T and Uncle Joe for all the memories that we have had already and the ones to come in the weeks to come!

Yesterday I was in the pool over 2 1/2 hours. I found out that sun screen is a good thing...

My face looks really red right now!

After the Fourth Party

Last weekend the Waasdorp family had a party at their house. They wanted to celebrated the 4th with everyone but it just didn't quite work with all the summer schedules so they had an after the 4th party!

We arrived before everyone else, and do you want to guess what we did?

We talked! Imagine that... :)

Yancy is so cute!

Time to swim.

You wouldn't want to mess with these girls!

You might think that this is a lot of people to have in a pool but this is only half of them!
How many people can you pile on Becky.
Best Friends! (Well there are over 20 of us who are best friends;)
Some one get us out of jail!

Almost time to eat.

But we can't dry off yet!

First we had a water balloon toss.

Then we had a fight! (water balloon fight)

All of us were already wet but it was still really fun!

I guess some people thought that the water was cold... :)

Why does everyone want to get me wet?

After supper some of the parents played bean bags. Mr. and Mrs. Zigler beat everyone!
This was their audience.Hammock fun!
The hammock was a popular place to hang out.

They both have butterfly shirts! Cute.
The sun was setting and looked really pretty on the W's flowers.
Capture the Flag!
There wasn't to much action in the game so I took pictures.
Sam is stuck in jail.
There were some really good move by both sides but but there was a lot of down times too. So I walked around and talked to the players who were waiting for action.
Time to go home everyone is tired!
